Registration: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_CAeYteauQZiogdy8LCoqDA?emci=4ac9aad…

In this second session of our three-part case series, opioid stewardship in outpatient settings is an important topic for consideration as there is a need to balance the concerns of overprescribing with the need to make sure that patients who experience pain have adequate pain management.  This case-based presentation will explore the complexity of this issue and discuss how we can maximize safety and benefits for patients who experience chronic pain, including individuals with complex, persistent pain and opioid physical dependence but do not meet the diagnostic criteria for opioid use disorder (OUD).

Objectives:

1). Apply 2022 CDC Pain Guidelines to patients with different opioid tolerance.

2). Review pharmacologic and non-pharmacological approaches to treating acute and chronic pain.
