Practical Perinatal Support: Essential Info for CRSs and Peers, Part 2
Peers have a unique and important role in communicating accurate and essential information to clients who are pregnant. This program intends to equip CRSs and CPSs with the tools needed to educate themselves and their clients on what to expect before, during, and after labor and delivery. Led by a full spectrum doula for the Maternal, Child and Family Health division of the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, and the Program Director/Certified Recovery Specialist for Unity Recovery's Pregnant and Postpartum Recovery (PPR) program, we aim to engage CRSs and peers on how to best support their clients in vulnerable need of sustained care.
