Managing Your Own and Others' Pain

Providing empathetic presence and support to someone experiencing pain, can validate their suffering and foster mutual connection. In the longterm, witnessing the pain of others can be emotionally challenging, causing overwhelm and potentially lead to experiencing burnout and secondary traumatic stress (STS). This virtual workshop will offer strategies for buffering the STS impact of pain management care and restore us back to providing care from an authentic and comforting presence.
