This program will explore the evaluation and treatment of complex wounds and related infections associated with injection behavior. Dr. Sara Keely Schultz, MD, FACP will share her perspective as an infectious disease provider at Temple University Hospital and discuss myths and best practices associated with diagnosing complex wound infections, prescribing appropriate antibiotics, escalating care to the hospital, and implementing harm reduction with patient-centered care.
