The Poison Control Center’s Opioid Assistance Resource (OAR) Line Presents: Adolescent Opioid Use Disorder

The Poison Control Center’s Opioid Assistance Resource (OAR) line is organizing a 4-part webinar series on prescribing, family and pediatric approaches to OUD care. This session will explore evidence demonstrating how addiction can be considered a pediatric disease as well as treatment currently provided to adolescent patients with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). Survey data on substance use and overdose death rates among youth will be reviewed. The session will also cover Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) for Adolescents, use of telehealth visits, as well as special developmental, ethical, and legal issues.

Target Audience: 

This program is designed for Physicians, Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Physician Assistants (PAs), Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNAs), and Certified Nurse-Midwifes (CNMs) able to obtain an X waiver from SAMHSA to prescribe buprenorphine and their care team colleagues.
