
Kristin Walker, RN, MSN, ACRN
Kristin Walker is a public health nurse, doula, and former Certified Nurse-Midwife. She has worked in various aspects of women’s health care for her entire career. Her current role with the Health Federation of Philadelphia and the MidAtlantic AIDS Education & Training Center is as the Coordinator of the Perinatal HIV Prevention Project, a CDC and Philadelphia Department of Public Health funded program to reduce maternal-child HIV transmission and improve systems that provide health care and other services for women living with HIV. In her work with SURGE, Kristin instructs multidisciplinary teams on compassionate care for pregnant and postpartum people with substance use disorder. She also brings professionals together for a monthly Perinatal Opioid Use Disorder Learning Collaborative for informal case consultation, news sharing, networking, and support. Kristin received her midwifery training and Master of Science in Nursing degree from Yale University.
