Perinatal Public Health Program Coordinator

Kristin Walker is a public health nurse, doula, and former Certified Nurse-Midwife. She has worked in various aspects of women’s health care for her entire career. Her current role with the Health Federation of Philadelphia and the MidAtlantic AIDS Education & Training Center is as the Coordinator of Perinatal Public Health Programming, which includes coordinating the Perinatal HIV Prevention Project, a CDC and Philadelphia Department of Public Health funded program.  As a member of the SURGE team, Kristin facilitates education and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams on compassionate care for pregnant and postpartum women/people with substance use disorder. This includes creating CRS-specific training and hosting a monthly Perinatal SUD Learning Collaborative for informal case consultation, news sharing, networking, and support. Kristin received her midwifery training and Master of Science in Nursing degree from Yale University.
